Environmental Law
Hazelrigg & Cox offers a wide range of environmental law services to its clients. Hazelrigg & Cox’s attorneys have substantial experience in representing clients in issues involving water, solid waste and landfill issues, including in permitting issues. We have represented clients cited by state and federal regulators, resolved underground storage tank issues, litigated toxic torts cases, and assisted in negotiations with state and federal regulators. This experience includes environmental litigation in both state and federal courts.
Utility Law Hazelrigg & Cox’s attorneys have substantial experience in representing clients before the Public Service Commission, including telecommunication clients, and owners of wastewater treatment plants. We have represented clients in proceedings requesting increases in tariffs, as well as clients opposed to such increases. Our attorneys have also represented clients with respect to the development of new power lines.
Appellate Practice Hazelrigg & Cox’s attorneys are experienced in handling civil appeals at all levels of state and federal court. Hazelrigg & Cox offers clients a full range of appellate services, from the filing of the notice of appeal, to the drafting of appellate briefs and reply briefs to oral argument. Our attorneys also have substantial experience in motion practice before Appellant Courts, including motions seeking injunctive or other extraordinary relief. Of course, our attorneys work hard to resolve cases, if at all possible, before they get to the appellate level.
